64-V-Groove Router Bits
V-Groove router bits cut decorative ‘V’-shaped grooves on signs and aluminum composite materials. They are used in hand-held, table-mounted, and CNC routers. They last longer than standard carbide tipped router bits.
The microstructure, mechanical behaviour and residual stresses of Alloy 617/P92 steel dissimilar metal weld (DMW) have been investigated for narrow and double V groove (NVG and DVG) weld geometry by manual multi-pass tungsten inert gas welding with ERNiCrCoMo-1 filler.
Yoke Track Rollers
Yoke track rollers (also known as yoke cam followers) are a special type of roller bearing that can absorb high radial loads. They also have a crowned outer ring to avoid increased edge stresses under large skewed running angles.
Unlike standard track rollers, which are mounted on a shaft, these are attached to the bearing yoke with peened or pressed end plates that connect with the inner race. This allows for efficient cantilever mounting. This also helps to reduce buildup of dirt and other contaminants on the roller bearings. PCI’s yoke track rollers are precision-engineered to exacting tolerances to provide a secure, robust connection with the mating stud and rail/track surface.
For this reason, yoke track rollers are ideally used for applications where the rolling elements have a low speed of travel and are not exposed to vibration or shock. In such applications, a higher speed of travel may be possible with intermittent operation and oil impulse lubrication. In such cases, a permissible sliding speed for the seal lip must be defined for each application – this value is listed in the product table or in the Technical Principles section, Lubrication.
The yoke track rollers can be provided unsealed or with contact seals. The sealing system protects the lubricant from 64-v-groove external environmental conditions, which can negatively impact running characteristics and the service life of the bearing.
The yoke track rollers are supplied with grease for initial lubrication. For relubrication, the use of greases in accordance with the Lubrication Table is recommended. The yoke cam followers can be provided with a hex or a square nut to fit the mating studs. The hex nut is preferred for cantilever mounting because it prevents the yoke from slipping off of the studs. The yoke cam followers can also be supplied with a crowned outer ring (suffix X) to avoid excessive edge stresses under large skewed running angle b > 0,1deg (1,7 mrad). The crowned outer ring increases the load capacity of the track roller by reducing the stress on the outer ring when tilting occurs.
V-Groove Track Rollers
V-groove track rollers are specialized wheels that are used in industrial scenarios to facilitate smooth and controlled movement. Derived from the V-shaped groove on the wheel, these casters are used in a wide range of industries and applications where precise movement is required, including manufacturing, warehousing, and material handling. V-groove track casters are typically made from various materials, such as machine steel and cast iron, depending on the needs of the application. They are available in a range of sizes and load capacities to accommodate different uses.
Designed to guide equipment by rolling on inverted angle iron track, these casters are commonly used to transport units from one machine to the next to create a production-line flow. They also work well off the track on flat floor surfaces. V-groove casters can be mounted with either Delrin bearings or stainless steel precision ball bearings for optimal capacity and performance.
Constructed from premium G-3000 gray iron castings or hot forged C-1030 steel, these wheels feature 90 degree grooves that are accurately machined into the face of each wheel. A 5G˴Fibre to the home relief groove at the base of each “V” equalizes the weight of the unit to each side of the wheel, reducing wear on track and floor. A considerable wheel tread on each side allows V-groove wheels to be used off of track as well, on smooth level floors.
LINCO offers an extensive selection of V-Groove tracks and wheels to support a variety of applications in both small business and industrial settings. These casters are also widely used by private consumers to upgrade closet doors, garage doors, barn doors and more. V-groove casters are the perfect choice for any scenario where a sturdy, resilient wheel is required.
V-Groove Yoke Tracks
V-grooving machines create a decorative pattern on the surface of materials used in a wide range of products including glass panels, picture frames and wall cladding. They are also used in metal fabrication to produce bends in sheet metal by creating a shallow V cut along the edge of the material which can then be folded or bent to form unique angles and shapes. The method is also commonly used in paper and plastic products to create foldable or bendable features such as binders, boxes and presentation materials.
Stainless Steel V-Grooved Cam Follower Rollers
Designed to handle radial and thrust (top and side) loads, these shaft-mount track rollers can be used for guiding and positioning work on industrial carts and assembly fixtures, and they’re suitable for use in dirty environments because dirt and debris fall off the angled rail rather than staying clogged in the bearings. They’re made of 440C stainless steel for corrosion resistance, and the eccentric stud allows you to adjust for misalignment. The plain outer ring provides minimal axial height and makes them easy to install.
V-Grooved swivel and rigid casters are commonly used on industrial carts, containers, racks and other equipment to control direction, protect floors and provide ease of movement. They’re available with a choice of mounting plates, overall heights and capacities to suit your application. The V-grooved design distributes loads evenly, reduces friction and wear, and supports heavy loads. It’s especially useful for applications that require precise load distribution and positioning in robotics and automation, as well as aerospace/defense.
